Interview, party and blogging style decisions [Uncategorized] — Administrator @ 3:14 pm

Manchester was lots of fun.  Good party and lovely seeing a good chunk of my friends who I miss very much!  Had fun being touristy in Manchester on Sunday, I went to the MEN gallery (finally) and found it nicely varied and not too large, which is important if a gallery is going to hold my attention.  Also looked around the new bit of the Arndale centre, Hotel du Chocolat is rather lovely!  (Apparently one is coming to Exeter!)

I made a promise to myself and some other instrumental people in my life that my new shiny blog would not involve emo outpourings or anything about my love life or personal life so on these subjects, if you know me and don’t hear anything, assume all is great thanks!

Having said I wouldn’t mention my love life, I do feel compelled to tell you that I’m going to the EUSOG 45th anniversary ball, in Edinburgh.  I reckon that counts as travel blogging :)   I haven’t been to a ball this winter (ok, not exactly grounds for sympathy seeing where I’ve been) and I’m really excited!

On Monday my posh new suit and I went to Watford for my interview with Majestic.  I thought it went really well, but haven’t yet heard from them whether they want me to have a second interview or not.  Bit worried, I know I’m a well rounded individual (no sniggering, ’tis what my father tells me!) but part of me still has not much confidence and the further away from the interview I get the worse it looks in hindsight!  This is getting perilously close to aforementioned emo outpouring…feel free to throw stuff at me!

On the train back from Watford to Euston I got chatting to a lovely Kenyan chap called Albert who works for the Fairtrade coffee people (I actually got the impression he either runs it or owns a coffee company!)  He very kindly escorted me all the way to Paddington, which made the day very easy as I was worried I’d get lost on the way across London, (bumpkin that I am!)  I love randomly talking to people, I hope I never grow out of it!

Trying to decide whether to arrange to spend show week in Mancland, I’d love to help crew, but I feel like I should really earn some money before messing around away from home any more…on the other hand, if I do get this job, I may be about to be working hard and not having much time off for quite some time, so maybe I should grab this last potential week of freedom…suggestions anyone?

Must go back to telephone watching, or maybe I’ll bake a cake…stress baking here I come!
