Wales, girl flu and musings [Uncategorized] — Administrator @ 9:35 pm

I went to a Ceilidh in Wales last week, was really good, the party was my dads best mans’ 21st anniversary (and his wifes’ too obviously).  Ed and Janet are lots of fun and their kids are great too, so it was good catching up with them as I hadn’t seen them for about three years.  Plus, obviously the words ‘barn dance’ got me to Wales easily!  I danced with lots of people, including a very tall Scottish chap in a kilt, who was pretty good at it so allowed me to have to occasional respite from leading :)   Chris (hosts son) was also a nifty dancer, and his father was amazed, this is apparently a new skill since going to Cambridge…not one many mathmeticians pick up I’d guess!

Not much else going on in Sarah land, have caught and fought off the evil virus from Wales, thank goodness!  That wasn’t much fun.  Mahinda kindly pointed out that’s what you get for dancing with Welsh blokes, he may be right!

Some day soon I am going to apply to a viticulture and oenology (winemaking to the uninitiated) postgrad diploma in both New Zealand and Australia and see what happens!  I was checking up on student visa stuff for NZ and amused to note that on a student visa I am not allowed to get work in the licensed sex industry…darn and poot!  I suppose I’ll just have to get a part time bar job instead.

On a different note, why after many years of word processing, do I still not know how to change a body of text from caps into small letters without deleting and retyping after accidentally hitting caps lock?  Is this possible?  I know it’s something I had trouble with many years ago when I first started using a computer so I’d expect there to be a way around it now?

My life looks dull on screen this week!  Must do something interesting!

On the plus side, both my (previously) ailing grandmas are doing great and both out of hospital!
